How to Find and Replace data in Contacts
Fortix systems offer the possibility to perform find and replace operations in Contacts. This functionality is available via the Setup menu, whereby the Email Address, Mobile Phone, Work Phone, Home Phone, Fax and Accounts Email can be searched for and replaced in a certain customer contact record.
This article explains how to use this functionality.
Click on the Set-up Menu Icon and find Find & Replace under CRM.
The address bar link is: /?customers&op=find_and_replace
The FIND & REPLACE form opens with a drop-down option list of data fields that can be changed. Eg. Email Address, Mobile Phone, Work Phone, Home Phone, Fax and Accounts Email.
Choose the data field that needs to be changed, then enter the data to Find in the Find field. Click the search icon to find the record.
Make sure to check the tick box next to the record the system found. Enter the replacement value and Click REPLACE to commit the change to the system.
The email address has been changed. This is a great time-saving tool if multiple contacts have the same company telephone number that needs to update.
