How to integrate Xero into Fortix
Xero is an accounting and bookkeeping software that makes cash flows visible in real-time with online accounting, billing, invoicing and banking. Users can log in with a PC, Mac, phone or tablet to see up-to-date financials.
In Fortix the Xero integration gives you a simple and seamless way to share data between Xero accounting software and your existing Fortix solutions. By adding this integration, you can save hours on manual data entry, get more visibility into spend, and more.
This article explains how the integration with Xero is setup.

Access the Xero Applications page in Fortix through the Setup Menu.
The quick address link is : /?xero_applications
Click Add New to add a new application connection or click on any existing application connection with your current Xero set up to edit and renew the connection.
The ADD NEW form for Xero Applications opens. Add the Name in the Name field.
To generate the Client ID field, log into your Xero account. Type developer.xero.com in the URL address bar. Click My Apps menu option.
For new apps, click the New app tab. For existing apps, click on the app that needs to be re-connected with Fortix.
Add the New App name.
Add the Fortix application URL. Contact Fortix support if this is not know to you.
Tick the Terms and Conditions acknowledgment after reading the Xero Developer Platform Terms and Conditions.
Click Create App.
The App details form is displayed. Find the Client id field and click Copy to copy the Client id of the App into the clipboard that needs to be copied into the Fortix Xero application Client id field.
Paste the Client id into the Fortix Xero application Client id field.
In the Xero developer app, click Generate a secret.
Find the Client secret field and click Copy to copy the Client secret of the App into the clipboard that needs to be copied into the Fortix Xero application Client secret field. Click Save.
Paste the Client secret into the Fortix Xero application Client secret field. Click SAVE.
Now click AUTHORIZE which will establish the connection between Fortix and Xero.
The Xero app will display a notification of the Fortix request for access. Click Allow access.
In Fortix, the EDIT XERO APPLICATION form displays the UNAUTHORIZED tab which indicates that the connection has been authorized and is now active. Click SAVE.
The Xero Applications page list the new Xero application connection.
