How to Create Queries for Work Request
Fortix Query Register function helps to manage the communication with customers while working on a Job or Project. When you send a request to the customer for more information, Fortix has a process built in to remind the person that you are waiting for the information automatically. The Project Manager is also reminded via email that there is outstanding information on the Job.
This article explains the Query Register in Fortix.

The Query Register List View displays all the request for information that has been sent through the Work Request system. Click Add New to add a new inquiry.
A query can be send from with in the Work Request page as well.
Ensure that the Query Register processes, Customer Query Report Process and Manager Query Report Process are set up in the Project Setup form. Access the Project Setup page from the Setup Menu.
The PROJECT SETUP form opens. Scroll down and find the Query Register section.
Ensure that the Query Register processes, Customer Query Report Process and Manager Query Report Process are set up in the Project Setup form.
Go to the Work Requests page and select the Work Request where the request for more information needs to be sent from.
The Work Request working page opens. The Query Register component can be activated by accessing the Matrix Menu and selecting the Screen Layout menu.
The Screen Layout SETUP for Work Requests opens. Ensure that the Query Register Component is active int the Work Request page.
Within the Work Request page, Click Add New to add a new inquiry in the Query Register Component.
Complete the ADD NEW QUERY form. The Project and Work Request fields are prefilled with the current data.
Click the down arrow in the "To" field to tick the boxes for all the contact that need to receive this request for information.
Add the Query. Click the down arrow in the Query Type field to select the applicable type.
Click the down arrow in the Query Status field to select the applicable status.
Use the date picker to add a Due Date for this request for information. Click PREVIEW to see what the message would look like that is sent to the customer.
Clicking the PREVIEW button displays what the message that will be sent will look like. Click the Cross in the right-hand corner to close the preview.
Click SAVE to commit to the system and send the message.
The new Query is added to the register. further action is available by clicking the Action drop down arrow.
