How to add a Work Area to a Project or Job
In Fortix, Work Areas allow the user to divide the project in defined work chunks. Work Area serves as a sub-heading under the project in which Work Requests or assignments are divided.
Projects in Fortix defines the boundaries of work or a job that has been allocated to resources.
This article explains how to add a new Work Area to a Project.
Navigate to the Projects page by Clicking on SALES ORDERS or PROJECTS. Find the project in the list view where the Work Are needs to be added. Click the down arrow in the Action tab and select Edit Project.

The EDIT PROJECT form opens. Scroll down and find the WORK AREAS component on the right side of the page.Click Add New plus sign to add a new Work Area.
The ADD NEW WORK AREA form will open. Click the down arrow in the Work Area Template field and select the Template to populate the Work Area fields.
Add the Team members that have access to this Work Area. Select the user by clicking either Favourite, All or Setup.
Click on the users to add each individual to have Access Rights to this Work Area. Click CLOSE to continue.
Complete the type of Access rights each user have by ticking the appropriate boxes.
Click SAVE to continue.
The new Work Area has been added. Clicking the Action down arrow allows for editing the Work Area. Work Requests can be added directly from the Work Area.
