How to Notify and Send E-mail from WR Collaboration
Keeping your customers up to date on the progress of the project or job is easy in Fortix.
From the collaboration form in the Work Request update page, notify your customer with pre-existing email templates. New email addresses can be added as well as the CC and BCC function is available.
This article explains how to notify your customer with emails from the collaboration form in Work Request.
The quick address bar link is: /?requests&stored_as=Request
Open the Work Requests page by clicking the WORK REQUESTS menu and Requests in the heading bar.
Find the Work Request to update and click the underlined Work Request ID to do the time recording.
The Specific Work Request page opens. Click the Collaborate Icon or anywhere on the collaborate bar
Complete the fields to update work on the request.
Find the Notify Customer button and click to activate.
Customer Email is automatically populated with the key contact at the organisation. Click the down arrow to select additional contact to email.
- Individual Recipient(s) that is not in the Fortix CRM can be added.
- Select which users in Fortix need to be CC on the email
- Select which users in Fortix need to be BCC on the email
- Click the down-arrow in the Email field to select the system email to send.
The collaboration update record displays who the email has been sent to.
The message can be viewed in the email log or outgoing email queue.
Click on the email icon (envelope) in the collaboration update to view the message.
