Working with Private Notes

Private Notes Component in Fortix is used an informal way to remember conversations, to do something or take a note of any thought which cannot be actioned right away. The Private Note in Customer contact relates to the customer and has a tab per contact person in the customer. The non-private data can be viewed by all users. The Customer private Note component has a "private" tab and is only readable by the user who creates them. Only truly private information should go here.

In a similar way, the Project Private Note Component has Notes pertaining to the project, project next steps and issues register. The Project Private Note component has a "private" tab and is only readable by the user who creates them. Only truly private information should go here.

The notes are saved automatically.

This article explains how to add a Private Note in Fortix.

Navigate to the Customer Contact page. Find the Private Note component. The NOTES component contains three tabs: Customer (name); Contact Person (Name), Private Note.

The first tab is intended to have a special note about the Customer who can be seen by all users who has access permission to this customer.

The Private Notes component can be added to the page through the Screen Layout SETUP.

The third tab will contain a Private Note that can only be seen by the logged-in user who created the note. This note is specific to the customer and not contact person-specific.

Navigate to Opportunities page. Find the Private Note component, which will display the Customer Private Notes. The NOTES component contains three tabs: Customer (name); Contact Person (Name), Private Note.

Scrolling down, other contact persons, connected to this customer, can have their own private note. Access the private note, buy clicking on the note icon. These icons become available when hovering over the contact name.

The Notes form becomes available. Enter the contact person note. The notes are saved automatically.
